The Breath of Life: An Introduction to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
This 5-day introductory seminar is designed to give
you a sense of the Biodynamic approach so you can see if the 10-module
Practitioner Training is for you. It also provides you with useful
skills you can easily incorporate into any work with clients you are
already involved in.
Attending this seminar entitles you to a discount
for the Practitioner Training.
It also meets the prerequisite requirements for The Prenatal and Birth Trainings taught by Ray Castellino and Myrna Martin.
The seminar focuses on foundational skills of :
• being and relationship
• perception of health and resource
• fluid movement and stillness
You will learn through creative, experiential explorations, multi-media presentations, discussions, demonstrations, and practice sessions.
You will have an introductory experience of:
• The Ground of Being - settling into a quiet state and being with what is without judgment or preference
• Neutral - a center of stillness
• Resonance and the relational field - establishing and maintaining safe,
respectful contact
• Health, Resource and the Inherent Treatment Plan
• Perceptual skills - establishing and maintaining a wide perceptual field
• The Breath of Life unfolding as Primary Respiration: the CRI, Mid-Tide,
Long Tide, Stillness
• Palpation skills - sensing stillness and movement using some basic hand positions
• Embryonic developmental forces and the Midline of the body
• Differentiating between Biodynamic and Biomechanical approaches to
Craniosacral Therapy
• A brief overview of the work of William Sutherland, D.O., and the evolution of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
